19th Jamaican National Rugby League Championship Kicks Off

The 19th National Club Championship (NCC) kicked off on Saturday June 8, with seven teams vying for rugby league supremacy in Jamaica.  The competing teams in this year’s installment of the top rugby competition in Jamaica sees new comers West Kingston Hyenas joining defending champions Duhaney Park Redsharks, GC Foster Lions, Liguanea Dragons, Spanish Town Vikings, Jamaica Defence Force Warriors and Washington Blvd. Bulls.

Excelsior win Jamaica Intercollegiate rugby league Championship

The 9th Intercollegiate rugby league Championship was claimed by Excelsior Community College Eagles on Saturday, when they defeated Caribbean Maritime University Spartans 22-18, at the UWI Mona Bowl.

History will be made on 22 June when Jamaica play their first-ever home international against the USA, at the Mona Bowl Field in Kingston (kick off 3.30pm), in an escalation of one of international rugby league’s burgeoning rivalries.

Red Star win first-ever Serbian girls rugby league match

Date: 22/3/19

To commemorate the 65th anniversary of the inugural rugby league match played in the country, further history was made when Red Star Belgrade won the first-ever full contact girls match, beating Red Kangaroos 46-16 at the Ada Ciganlija stadium.
