Germany and Netherlands name squads for annual Griffin Cup

The seventh, annual Griffin Cup will be staged in Gnarrenburg, Germany this Saturday (kick off 4pm) with the hosts looking to regain the trophy. They won the first four encounters starting in 2013, when they were triumphant 28-22 in Heidleberg, but have been defeated in the last two clashes, including last year’s clash in Rotterdam, when the Dutch prevailed 38-22.

Following the completion of their domestic season - Moorteufel taking the 2018 title - the Germany coaching staff has named their squad for the 2021 World Cup qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Norway, and the annual Griffin Cup clash with the Netherlands.
