Rugby League in the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy

Rugby League history was made in the Philippines on the 25th June. With Philippines National Rugby League (PNRL) Development and Coaching Officer Tom Simpson and fellow PNRL board member, David Perry and their local coaching assistants Harold Aguilo and Edmond Brocoy conducted their first training session, with the Merchant Marine Cadets of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) in San Narciso.

History made with four Filipino-Australians playing in the NRL

The weekend of the 1st and 2nd of June 2013 was a historic day for the Philippines National Rugby League (PNRL) with four Filipino-Australians playing in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition.

In 1998 Craig Wing cemented his place in Filipino-Australian history being the first to play in the elite NRL competition in Australia.
