Rugby League World Cup 2021 is delighted to announce that it has agreed a deal that will see Eversheds Sutherland become the first official partner of the tournament.
The Board of the Rugby League World Cup 2021 met for the first time last week in MediaCityUK, Salford, discussing a number of important topics including the ongoing process for selection of the venues for the Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair World Cup.
In respect of the qualification process for the RLIF Rugby League World Cup 2021 it was agreed that this would be a 16 -team tournament. Seven teams will be qualified from Europe, 6 from Asia Pacific , 2 from the Americas and one from a play-off series hosted in Middle East/Africa . The Quarter-Finalists in the 2017 RLIF Rugby League World Cup will qualify as of right.

The Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) is delighted to announce that England has been awarded the rights to stage the 2021 Rugby League Men’s and Women’s World Cups.

In the wake of the news from the Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) that the number of teams competing at the 2021 World Cup will be increased by two, there has been a lot of discussion about where those extra teams should come from and the Americas are in that conversation.
With expressions of interest to host the 2021 World Cup starting to come in, Rugby League International Federation CEO David Collier has confirmed that the number of nations participating in it will rise from 14 to 16.
