Luke Douglas’s last charge of his professional career, which saw him score for Scotland from 20 metres out, ensured that the Bravehearts qualified for their fifth World Cup, with a 42-24 triumph over Greece in London.
Edinburgh Eagles overcame an 18 point deficit to defeat Strathmore Silverbacks and claim the 2019 Scottish Cup, at Scottish Police's Lochinch ground in Pollok Park, Glasgow. The result was decided in the final play, Eagles prop Terry Logan forcing his way over for his second touchdown to secure a 30-22 victory.

Scotland pulled off a shock 23-16 win over hosts Wales in Pontypridd in the Student Home Nations at Sardis Road on Thursday.
Scotland Rugby League have today announced that three players have been released from their 2017 Rugby League World Cup squad for misconduct.
Scotland have added two young players from Australia’s NRL to their provisional Rugby League World Cup squad. James Bell of New Zealand Warriors and South Sydney Rabbitohs’ winger Campbell Graham both made their NRL debuts last week and have been drafted into the Bravehearts player pool for the tournament down under in October.
Scotland have announced their provisional squad ahead pf the Rugby League World Cup 2017 down under this autumn. Head coach Steve McCormack has stuck with his tried and trusted Bravehearts who took Scotland to the quarter-finals in 2013, won the 2014 European Championship and drew with then world-number one nation New Zealand last November.
The bulk of the players selected for Scotland Students for the upcoming Student World Cup in Sydney will play the first of three warm-up matches on Saturday, 22 April (kick off 2pm) against Halifax Reserves.
As part of their drive to increase numbers involved in domestic rugby league at all levels, Scotland Rugby League held a successful course at Kirkcaldy RFC which saw 12 new match officials qualify.
Scotland begin the defence of their European Championship crown in Wrexham tomorrow night, with head coach Steve McCormack looking to youth as the Bravehearts aim to keep hold of the first silverware they’ve won.
