Lebanon and Saudi met for the first of an expanded regional championship that will feature two games yesterday. The sides were locked at 22 all last year and bragging rights were firmly up for grabs this time round. Lebanon won the toss and elected to kick.
Lebanon’s U18s defeated their Saudi Select counterparts in both games played in Beirut over the weekend to take the MEA Junior Championship.
The young Cedars won the first match, played in stormy, cold conditions, 18-4 on Friday night before turning on the style with a 40-6 victory on Sunday.
