Welcome to another issue of International magazine. It's hard to believe that in four months’ time, Cardiff will host the opening ceremony of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup. 14 Nations will be vying for the silverware, which England's Jamie Jones-Buchanan is displaying on the front cover.

But before we turn our attention to the October and November tournament, the month of June has been chock full of news surrounding the international game.

Welcome to the eight issue of international. The team has continued to bring interesting stories to you for the month of May.

Over the month of May we have witnessed the continuation of the international rugby league season with 7's and 9's competitions popping up all over the globe.

In Europe, the European Shield has commenced with Serbia facing Germany and Russia.

Over the month of April we have witnessed the beginning of the international rugby league season with Australia beating New Zealand and Tonga edging out Samoa.

In Europe, the European Shield squads have been announced, with Serbia facing Russia and Germany in May.

It may be the pre-season or off-season for most rugby league teams, but our writing team has had no-off season or pre-season bonding camp.

What we have managed to do is bring you interviews with Ireland and Halifax player Luke Ambler, former Canterbury and Salford fullback Luke Patten, plus a host of quirky and thought-provoking stories.

Although most international tournaments and matches have come to an end, there is still plenty of news from around the globe.

In the December issue, we will be covering all the happenings from around the world, with positive stories emerging from Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Jamaica and Ghana.

Rugby League Planet and Consultivity Rugby League Planet and Consultivity welcome you to the second issue of international. The team has been working even harder this past month trying to improve on our highly successful first issue in October, which recorded unbelievably high readership numbers across over 20 countries.

The past month has been jam-packed with international rugby league matches, particularly in Europe. England, Wales and France have competed in the inaugural Autumn International Series, while England's second side, the Knights, have played both Ireland and Scotland in the annual Alitalia European Cup.
