The Papua New Guinea Hunters have today signed a new Participation Agreement with the Queensland Rugby League to compete in the Intrust Super Cup from 2019-2022.

Chairman of the PNGRFL Mr. Don Fox announced yesterday to attendees at the AGM meeting held in Lae that he would be stepping down as Chairman at the end of this year – effective as from the 31st December 2013.

PNGRFL confirms participation in Commonwealth Games rugby league 9’s festival

The PNGRFL has today announced they have confirmed participation of a PNG Kumuls U19 team in this year’s Commonwealth Games Festival in Glasgow.

PNG’s participation will be funded through the Team Kumul program in preparation for the South Pacific games in 2015. Other teams who have confirmed participation include Jamaica, South Africa, Australia, Scotland, England, Canada and Wales.

History in the making for PNG Kumuls in Rugby League Pacific Test

ALBERT brothers Wellington and Stanton and Martin brothers Tyson and Rhyse will create history for the PNG Kumuls when they face Fiji Bati in Saturday’s Pacific Test match at the CBUS Stadium on the Gold Coast.

This is the first time in history when two sets of brothers will wear the red, black and gold in the same Kumuls team.

Famous rugby league personality Phil Gould is part of a four-member Penrith Panthers delegation that will visit Port Moresby this weekend.

PNG Rugby Football League chairman Sandis Tsaka when announcing this said they appreciated the gesture of the Penrith Panthers following almost 12 months of dialogue.

So what better way for PNG expatriates studying, working and living in the Philippines to celebrate their countries 39th Independence day celebrations, but organize a Rugby League tournament at the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) in Cavite on Saturday the 16th of September.

SP PNG Hunter Mark Mexico has been signed by Australian NRL club the Cronulla Sharks and will link with his new club immediately.

Mexico, a World Cup Kumul front rower, has signed a one-­‐year contract with the option of an extended contract based on his performances at his new club this season.
