PNG wants Rugby League Pacific Cup revived

PAPUA New Guinea Rugby Football League will be pushing for the revival of the Pacific Cup and an additional international match later this year in addition to the traditional annual Prime Ministers XIII clash against the Australian Kangaroos.

The PNGRFL and the Team Kumul High Performance Unit announced earlier today information regarding their upcoming high performance camp to be held in Port Moresby July 22nd through to Thursday July 25th. It will be the fourth camp this year focussing on the progression of the skills, attitude and knowledge of the Papua New Guinea based players.

Digicel Cup will be officially launched this Thursday April 11th. The first games of the year will kick off this coming Sunday the 14th of April.

THE PNG NRL Bid’s schoolboy rugby league fever has hit Madang, with the resort town starting a competition for eight schools last month.
Madang Rugby League administrator Mark Sagho said on Sunday the schoolboys competition was an arrangement between the PNG NRL Bid and the schools.
