WOMEN’S Rugby League is set to expand to more parts of Papua New Guinea with 22 leagues having endorsed an all-­‐females competition to run in conjunction with their 2014 season.

THE PNG NRL Bid’s schoolboy rugby league fever has hit Madang, with the resort town starting a competition for eight schools last month.

Madang Rugby League administrator Mark Sagho said on Sunday the schoolboys competition was an arrangement between the PNG NRL Bid and the schools.

Wow it's amazing the progress that can be made when the right people are running the show.

PNGRFL hosts Queensland Murri Team


The PNGRFL will host the touring Queensland Murri U16 squad when they arrivein Port Moresby this weekend. The Squad who arrive today (Thursday) will be in PNG until Monday 7th October and will play two matches while in country. The tour is the brainchild of Arthur Beetson Foundation organiser Troy Byers and former Queensland and Australian representative Tony Currie.

Grogan from MDO Consulting, has been associated with PNGRFL since last year, conducting the “whole of sport” review of the organization.
