The PNGRFL has today released the organisation's Rugby League calendar for 2014.
The calendar was developed in consultation with the RLIF, Digicel Cup, SP PNG Hunters & Team Kumul and is the first time in recent memory that a coordinated program had been presented to the nation said Chairman Sandis Tsaka;
Tickets for the annual Prime Ministers 13 game between Australia and Papua New Guinea go on sale from 9am this Monday, 6th October 2014.
In what is planned to be a festival of rugby league in Kokopo on October 12, PNGRFL officials expect tickets will be snapped up quickly and encourage fans to avoid a last-minute rush.
An additional two players have been added to the PNG PM13 squad for the upcoming match against the PM13 Kangaroos in Kokopo.
The inclusions have been brought in to replace Wellington Albert and Luke Page who are unavailable for the PM13 and Tonga Tests.
PORT MORESBY, August 20 – The winners of Papua New Guinea’s Digicel Cup competition and Fiji’s Vodafone Cup competition will face off in Port Moresby in October in the inaugural Rugby League Melanesian Club Championship.
Following in the footsteps of the World Club Challenge, long contested by NRL and Super League clubs, the premiers of PNG and Fiji’s national leagues will now play off for a regional title.
PNGRFL Chairman Sandis Tsaka has today announced his Chairman’s select squad for the Cabramatta 9’s tournament in Sydney on Saturday the 31st January 2015.
The attendance of the PNG side at the tournament is funded through the PNG Olympic Committees “Go for Gold” program and is a vital tournament leading up to this year Pacific Games said Tsaka;
The 2019 Great Britain Rugby League Tour will see the Lions taking on the New Zealand Kiwis, Mate Ma'a Tonga and Papua New Guinea Kumuls in the Southern Hemisphere.

PNGRFL Interim CEO Brad Tassell has today announced that Wellington Albert has agreed to a two (2) year contract with the Penrith Panthers commencing in 2014. Albert will be released immediately from his PNG Queensland Cup contract to take up the Penrith offer and will start training with Penrith in early January.
Air Niugini has today released packages for PNG supporters to cheer on their Team Kumul squad at the Rugby League World Cup in the UK in October.
