New Zealand have announced their 19-man squad to take on France on Friday at Parc des Sports, Avignon (8.00pm), with Kevin Locke’s inclusion being one of a number of changes.

Wales Rugby League staged a lavish cap presentation ceremony last Friday night at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff where official caps were awarded to most of last year’s junior and community sides.

In the first event of its kind that the WRL have organised, teams representing Wales under 16, 18, 19, Dragonhearts and the Commonwealth Championships side were all present and had their caps presented to them by both their respective coaches and the Wales senior side coach John Kear.

Leeds Rhinos will again show their commitment to help develop Rugby League around the World when they allow two young USA Rugby League players to join them for Pre-season training camp in Florida. “The fact that the Leeds Rhinos, one of the best known teams in the World, are willing to give two USA Rugby League players this opportunity speaks volumes about their desire to see Rugby League grow on a global scale” said USARL director Spinner Howland. “This is the fourth visit to the USA for Leeds and every time they come they not only increase the profile of the sport in the USA, but they have always offered help in development from players to administration ideas.”

Tetley’s Challenge Cup fourth round tie has international flavour

The ties for the fourth round of the Tetley's Challenge Cup have been released with teams still flying the flag for Wales and France in the English dominated tournament.

The North Wales Crusaders who currently play in Championship One (3rd tier in UK) will have a tough mission on their hands as they take on Super League team Hull FC at Hull.

Down to the South of France and two teams are still in the knock-out tournament.

Chrudim Angels secure the CZRLA 2nd Division Double

Chrudim Angels secured their second trophy of the CZRLA season when, after having already won the 2013 CZRLA 2nd Division Championship, they won the 2nd Division Grand Final against   Hradec Kralove, 28-0. The match was played in chilly conditions in Chrudim, in front of special guests, South Sydney Rabbitohs CEO, Shane Richardson, and his wife, Kate. Richardson had also been a special guest at the 2013 CZRLA Awards night the previous evening, where he presented awards and took questions from an enthralled audience.

PNG Rugby League foundation national elite squad embarks on international tour

The PNG RL Foundations National Elite U16 & U18 teams will start their annual International tour next week, with players arriving in Port Moresby this Sunday for a three day camp ahead of their departure on Wednesday for Brisbane.

The tour, which is fully supported and endorsed by the PNGRFL, will see the teams play 4 matches in 8 days against high quality opposition in Brisbane.
