The NRLB has announced an expanded back room staff for their forthcoming internationals away in Germany (26 August) and at home to Sweden, in Amsterdam (9 Sept).
Saturday will see the end of the most comprehensive Dutch championship so far, with Rotterdam Pitbulls and Den Haag Knights facing each other in the Grand Final at the Rotterdamse Studenten RC.
Game two of the NRLB Nationale Kampioenschap at Delft Rugby Club saw Rotterdam City Pitbulls emerge victorious, 30-20, over Amsterdam City Cobras in another thrilling encounter to level the series.
The game was in doubt until the closing stages, Pitbulls skipper Jorge Vazquez outstanding and big Amsterdam prop Kirby McKean their best along with Patrick Ufkes.
The sixth, annual Griffin Cup takes place in Rotterdam tomorrow (Saturday) with the Netherlands looking to hold on to the trophy after winning it for the first time last year, when they defeated Germany 30-18 in Osnabruck.
The Netherlands Rugby League Bond hosted an afternoon of games at the Kongingsdag Sport Festival, where over 1400 children from the surrounding areas worked around a carousel of different well known Dutch sports.
