The sixth, annual Griffin Cup takes place in Rotterdam tomorrow (Saturday) with the Netherlands looking to hold on to the trophy after winning it for the first time last year, when they defeated Germany 30-18 in Osnabruck.
The Nederlandse Rugby League Bond has celebrated its busiest season in their 15-year association with the Rugby League European Federation, including an expanded representative calendar, youth programme and domestic championship, as well as elevation to voting membership status within the governing organization.
Nine sides from six countries will take to the field for the annual Rotterdam Nines tournament, to be held on 14th April.
The Netherlands Rugby League Bond hosted an afternoon of games at the Kongingsdag Sport Festival, where over 1400 children from the surrounding areas worked around a carousel of different well known Dutch sports.
Over 600 enjoyed a 20 minute rugby league coaching session led by NRLB head coach Kane Krlic and three other qualified colleagues, who and were supported by four students from Landsede, the local college.

It aims to engage participants from the ages of 6 to 18 and, to begin with, the sessions will be delivered by national head coach, Kane Krlic.
The first block has already started at Bredeschool Stadsdennen Harderwijk.
