The maiden World Cup Nines will take place at Parramatta’s Bankwest Stadium this weekend.

The Board of the Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) has announced that it has officially changed its name to International Rugby League (IRL). The membership has endorsed the name change and it is officially adopted from today (October 15^th, 2019).

THE coach of a team of African-Australian immigrants which won a rugby league Nines tournament in London on Sunday has called on the South Sudanese community of Melbourne to embrace the movement, known as Africa United.

LONDON Nines, to be held next Sunday at East London Rugby Club, have signed a partnership with financial firm Red FX.

The NRL has confirmed the three pools which will make up the inaugural Downer Rugby League World Cup 9s Sydney 2019, to be held at Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta on October 18-19.

TV: FOX Sports, the official broadcast partner of the Downer Rugby League World Cup 9s will broadcast every match live and exclusive into Australia. Sky New Zealand will also broadcast every match live into New Zealand.

The 2019 Great Britain Rugby League Tour will see the Lions taking on the New Zealand Kiwis, Mate Ma'a Tonga and Papua New Guinea Kumuls in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) has welcomed the success of the mid-year international window. There have been fantastic games played right across the world at three of the four current World Cup disciplines, men’s, women’s and wheelchair.

The first fixtures of the 2019 Rugby League Oceania Cup were played overnight in Auckland and Sydney.

Kudos to the New Zealand Rugby League (NZRL) for having the cajones to stand up and say enough of this ridiculous country flip-flopping that has been allowed to go on for too long in international rugby league.

There are plenty of top sporting tournaments taking place at present and rugby league doesn’t want to feel left out. This weekend sees the inaugural Oceania Cup begin down under with matches taking place in both Australia and New Zealand.
