The Hungarian Rugby League Federation has announced they will play a one-off Test match against Ireland, in Budapest on 30 June at NKE Sportpálya; it will be the first time the two nations have met.

The GB Student Pioneers will retain their central European flavour in 2016, having announced a tour to Hungary. It follows their successful trip last year to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Hungary hosts three nations at historic rugby league event

The Hungarian Rugby League Federation welcomed sides from Bosnia-Herzegovina, England and Serbia for a four-day festival of rugby league that included full and 9s versions of the sport. England Women’s University & Colleges made a historic first tour into central Europe as part of it, beating the Hungarian Women’s national side 74-10 in a full international, before participating in a 9s tournament.
Hungary hosts rugby league coaching seminar

The final Hungarian activity of the Leadership Devolution Project - co-funded by the EU, the RLIF and RLEF - took place in Budapest, attended by Hungarian, Irish, Italian and Greek delegates.
Hungary RL Federation president, Zsolt Lukacs, declared it a great success. “We’ve received outstanding, high level information and a boost in motivation again,” he commented. “We feel like we are on the right track and can call a bigger number of players.”
