The Teplice Dragons have assumed outright lead in the CZRLA 1st Division Championship after defeating the Czech Rabbitohs 38-18 on home soil. The Dragons again used their powerful forward pack to lay the platform for their win, with team leaders Jarda Bzoch – who scored a hat-trick in his first game back in his hometown after spending last season in Auckland - & Venca Fischer capitalising on their big men’s grunt work to convert their dominance into points and consolidate a 2 wins from 2 games 2014 record.
The Czech Republic and Norway have announced their squads to play in Saturday’s international in Krupka, close to the east German border. It will be the third meeting between the nations, with each having won once.

The European Rugby League Leadership Devolution Project is underway, with the Czech Rugby League Association hosting a four-day match officials seminar attended by English, Swedish and Maltese delegates.
Czech rugby league player/coach David Lahr has reduced his 50-man initial training squad to 28 for the European Championship C match with Malta in mid-July, after three training sessions in recent weeks, each over five hours in duration.
An historic double-header is set to place in Vrchlabi on Saturday 24 August, when the Czech Republic play Serbia in a full international, preceded by their U18s facing Poland U20s, in a first-ever encounter between the nations.
The Czech Rugby League Association has put junior development as a priority and is gearing up for a forthcoming U20 international against an England Colleges team, ahead of full internationals at home to Sweden on 25th July and Belgium in early October.
