The 2015 CZRLA Annual General Meeting has established the season program, placing emphasis on consolidating the 1st Division Championship, playing an inaugural 13 aside junior rugby league season, and ensuring both the senior & under 18 national teams play challenging fixtures home & away.
Lokomotiva Beroun have won the 2014 Czech Rugby League Association Grand Final, ensuring that they have completed the Championship/Grand Final double for 3 consecutive seasons.
The 2014 CZRLA Grand Final will be played on the first weekend of November between the CZRLA Championship winners, Lokomotiva Beroun, and the CZRLA Cup winners, the Czech Rabbitohs. Beroun won the Grand Final in 2012 & 2013 to cap undefeated seasons in which they won the then Czech triumvirate of the pre-season 9s tourney and the Championship as well as the Grand Final.

Lokomotiva Beroun have won a third successive Czech Rugby League Championship. The first club to be established in the country in 2007 they dropped only 1 game, their first round clash against the Czech Rabbitohs on their way to securing their fourth Czech Championship.

The result of the second match between the Czech Republic and Latvia’s youth teams resulted in a very similar score to Game 1 played two evenings before, but was notable for the fact the both team’s performances were a further improvement on the first match-up.
The head of St Helens’ youth system Steve Leonard has been a keen observer of the latest strand of the joint RLIF-RLEF-EU Leadership Devolution Project, which has conducted its second Czech-based event, with coaching delegates from Malta, England and Sweden joining their Czech counterparts.
The result of the first match in the 2 game series between the Czech Republic and Latvia Youth teams was a 20-6 victory to the home side in Vrchlabi. The tightly contested game was immensely physical and remained scoreless for the first 25 minutes as both teams attacked with vigour and defended their own lines tenaciously.
Vrchlabi, home of the Mad Squirrels club, will be a hot-bed of rugby league from tomorrow (Thursday) when a week of development work featuring five countries commences.
The annual CZRLA International 9s Tournament, held in Pardubice, has been won by the Skane club, from Sweden, ensuring that each of the 4 years of the competition has produced 4 different winners from 4 different countries, with the recently rebranded Roosters following Lebanon’s LAU, BARLA Youth, and the Belgrade Selection in being crowned champions.
Czech rugby league player/coach David Lahr has reduced his 50-man initial training squad to 28 for the European Championship C match with Malta in mid-July, after three training sessions in recent weeks, each over five hours in duration.
