USA Rugby League

In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the owners of the 11 teams in the USA Rugby League LLC have voted to suspend the 2020 season. With the schedule set to kick off in late May, the uncertainty of safety for players, fans and staff led to this conclusion.

The owners voted to suspend the season as opposed to a full cancellation to allow for the possibility of events later this year. The suspension is set for an indefinite time and discussions of modified competition may continue if COVID-19 safety precautions are discontinued in the next few months.

In other North America Rugby League news the Canadian domestic season is suspended till April 16 and CRLA board is due to meet on April 12 to consider whether to extend it further.
