Valencian Warriors picked up their first silverware, defeating Irreductibles Mislata 32-12, in the second Spanish Cup final.

Warriors only led 12-8 at half time, three second half tries in 15 minutes seeing them home.

Centre Christian Domínguez crossed twice for the victors, Richi Perelló doing likewise for Irreductibles, who lost in the final for the second consecutive year.

Javier García, president of Valencian Warriors, commented, “We finally have a title, we fought hard to be here and do this is amazing. Irreductibles have been great rivals.”

“Our players have been emptied, I’m proud of them despite the final score,” said Javier Modrego, Irreductibles president. “We gave everything and can only congratulate Warriors and keep trying next year again.”

Next weekend sees the Spanish Championship Grand Final played when Ciencias XIII Valencia meet Custodians Madrid.
