The Papua New Guinea Kumuls will play a Test match against the Fiji Batis on May 2 in Gold Coast in Australia.

Samoa and Tonga will also play in the double-header in Gold Coast, games that are expected to eventually decide the country that will qualify for the 2016 Four Nations to involve automatic inclusions Australia, New Zealand and England.

Should the Kumuls win PNG will host the winner of the Samoa and Tonga Test match in Port Moresby on October 25.

PNG Rugby Football League chairman Sandis Tsaka met with Kumul Coach Mal Meninga over the weekend and announced this when instructing national selectors to name a 34-member squad by April 8.

Meninga who is also expected to be involved in the selection process will then finalise an 18-man team for the May 2 Test match.
