Bookmakers Ladbrokes have priced Leeds Rhinos as 4/9 favourites to win Rugby League’s most coveted trophy when they play Castleford Tigers in the 2014 Tetley’s Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium this afternoon (3.00pm)
Castleford, who last won at Wembley in 1986, are placed at 2/1 to beat their West Yorkshire rivals with the sides priced at 18/1 to force the first Cup final replay since 1982. The Tigers have a six-point start on the handicap coupon.
Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield is 6/1 favourite to win the Lance Todd Trophy which is awarded to the player deemed to have had the most influence on the game. Team-mates Jamie Peacock (8/1) and Rob Burrow (10/1) are second- and third-favourites for the trophy.
Castleford hooker Daryl Clark and full-back Luke Dorn (both 10/1) are seen as the two players most likely to get their hands on the Lance Todd Trophy for the Tigers.
Rhinos winger Ryan Hall is priced at 7/1 to score the opening try at Wembley, with Castleford’s Clark (10/1) and Leeds centre Kallum Watkins (11/1) also strongly fancied to put the ball down first.
