It came down to a single vote but Ukraine have just got home against newcomers Spain to win the $3000 AUD 2014 Rugby League Planet Rugby League Development Fund Grant.
Ukraine become the 4th nation to receive the Rugby League Development Fund Grant. The Jamaican Rugby League Association 2011, Canada Rugby League 2012 and Ghana Rugby League 2013 have all received financial assistance from the Rugby League Development Fund (RLDF).
The RLDF congratulate the Ukraine Rugby League on winning the Grant.
RLDF Attention will now turn to assisting Ukraine Rugby League achieve some of their future rugby league goals.
The Rugby League Development Fund members would also like to thank all the nations who submitted their applications for the grant.
The concept has grown year on year and members can’t wait until 2015 to assist another emerging rugby league nation.
