Following strong growth in our first 12 months, the GYG Latin Heat Rugby League seeks expressions of interest from players for consideration in these upcoming events. All players must be of Latino heritage (player, parent or grandparent born in South or Central America).
* Redfern Nines (Under 18s): September 20 in inner Sydney region. Players must be born in 1996/1997. Cannot have registered in the Harold Matthews or SG Ball competitions this season.
* Harmony Cup (Under 16s): October 11 in western Sydney region. Players must be born in 1998/1999. Cannot have registered in the Harold Matthews or SG Ball competitions this season.
* Mitchelton Nines (Open Age): October 11 in Brisbane. Players must be 17 or older. This competition would best suit amateur, development players and newcomers. Only 14 spots available.
* Senior International Match (Open Age): Either Sept 27/Oct 4/Oct 18 in Sydney region. Exact opponent and details TBA shortly. This fixture would best suit players with a history of playing rugby league or similar athletic pursuits. Only 17 positions available.
Uniform, insurance and team fees all covered by the GYG Latin Heat. Travel and accommodation expenses to be covered by player´s own fund-raising or private sponsorship agreements.
