Penrith Panthers are an Australian rugby league team who play in the National Rugby League competition. The Panthers are located in Penrith, in Western Sydney, NSW, Australia.

Also known as the Chocolate Soldiers, The Penrith Panthers play out of Panthers Stadium at the foot of the Blue Mountains.

The Penrith Panthers joined the NSWRL competition now known as the NRL back in 1967.

The NRL Panthers have won two Premierships at the top level. Their maiden Premiership was in 1991 after meeting Canberra for the 2nd year in a row in the decider.

The 2013 Grand Final is well remembered for the tackle that Scott Sattler did in the 2nd Half, where he ran down Roosters winger Todd Byrne which was a huge turning point in the match and ultimately saw the Panthers winning their 2nd Premiership.
