The Catalan Dragons also known as the Les Dragons Catalans in France are a French rugby league team who play in the Super League Rugby competition. The club is located in Perpignan in the South of France.
The Les Dragons Catalans play out of the Stade Gilbert Brutus. Many english fans travel or go on an organised tour when their team travels to Perpignan to play the Catalans Dragons.
Many see the Les Dragons Catalans as the team that flies the flag for French Rugby League. Usually when the international rugby league season comes around a majority of the French national team is made up of players from the Catalans Dragons.
In August 2018 the Catalans Dragons made history by becoming the first ever French Rugby League team to win the Challenge Cup when they pulled off a major upset beating Warrington Wolves 20 – 14. The win for many is seen as a huge lift for the profile of Rugby League in France.
