The Russian Association of Rugby League Clubs which govern the game of Rugby League in Russia are hoping more sponsors jump on-board in 2014 and beyond.
The game of rugby league has endured many uphill battles in Russia over the last few years. The most recent involving the Russian Ministry of Sport. The Russian Ministry of Sport expelled rugby league from the state register of sports in Russia in 2010.
The reason? They believe rugby league doesn’t exist.
This has had a flow on effect to funding and now the Russian’s are looking for assistance from the corporate community.
