Overview: New Zealand have been the outstanding during the group stages of the Rugby League World Cup. Some would argue that the Kiwis should be the favourites to win the World Cup. The Kiwis have been getting better with each game and this match will be no different. The Kiwis should put the Scotts dream run to an end.

Scotland have been the surprise packet of the rugby league world cup. The Bravehearts got over Tonga in their first match. They then drew with Italy in their second match. It all came down to their last match against the USA where they got home 22 – 8. The Scots then needed Tonga to beat Italy in the last game in the group. Tonga won and Scotland confirmed their place in the quarter finals. Scotland now have their biggest ever challenge when they come up against the Kiwis.
