St Peter’s Primary School and St Benedict’s Primary School will compete in the Warrington Schools’ final as part of the pre-match entertainment ahead of New Zealand v Samoa at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington on Sunday.

Fourteen teams from 13 schools took part in the competition when they represented each of the nations competing in RLWC2013, which kicks off on Saturday with a mouth-watering double header, England v Australia and Wales v Italy at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.

The final, which kicks off at 4:30pm ahead of New Zealand v Samoa at 6.00pm, will feature 10 and 11-year olds from the qualifying schools and will be 10 minutes each way.

The winners will be presented with their trophy on the pitch by Tony Coyle, the Deputy Chairman of the Warrington Wolves Foundation.

As well as the schools final, the pre-match entertainment features a host of other events including a guard of honour comprising 20 people who have made a significant contribution to Warrington’s status as a host venue.
