Steeden South Africa today announced that it will be supporting the 2017 Rugby League World Cup Bid wholeheartedly. Jaque van der Merwe was quite clear in his support of the Bid, and made a commitment to SARL for the next five years to supply the National Teams with kit. Linked to the agreement is a comprehensive licensing and merchandising agreement which will see Steeden SA be the official licensee of all 2017 World Cup Merchandise if South Africa becomes successful in it’s bid to host the World Cup.
Jaque van der Merwe had the following to say: “Steeden SA is synonymous with success and quality and we plan to be part of that success. We are committed to the sport and we are confident that all the clubs and supporters will see and understand this commitment and support the brand in the coming years.”
Next month will see the launch of the SARL Merchandising Range and everyone is excited for the new offerings from Steeden SA.
Kobus Botha, President of SARL, was very supportive: “Jaque has shown his commitment to rugby league over the years, and this latest sponsorship only highlights what amazing support we have enjoyed from him. I for one am excited about the new merchandise being launched and encourage all rugby league supporters in South Africa and abroad to support the brand and buy their replica and supporters gear.”
