With a week to go until the 2013 Rugby League World Cup kicks off in Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, the BBC announce further names joining the presentation line up. Former Great Britain and England player Jon Wilkin now joins the team along with England players Eorl Crabtree and Jamie Jones-Buchanan and ex-Australian player, Tulsen Tollett. 

These new names add to the already announced team of Mark Chapman, Jamie Peacock, Robbie Hunter-Paul, Brian Noble, Jonathan Davies, Dave Woods, Ray French, George Riley, Stuart Pyke, Jon Wells and Tanya Arnold to offer expert insight and analysis for audiences throughout the event, across television, radio, online and mobile.  

BBC television will be bringing audiences live coverage of the two opening games from the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff on Saturday 26 October – England v Australia (KO 14.30) as well as Wales v Italy (KO 16.30).

Then there will be live television coverage of all of England’s Group games, as well as a quarter final match, a semi final showdown at Wembley Saturday 23 November and the Rugby League World Cup final at Old Trafford, Manchester on Saturday 30 November. 

There will be live commentary of every match of the entire tournament on either BBC Radio 5 live or 5 live sports extra. Plus a special Rugby League World Cup forum show will be simulcast live on Radio 5 live and the Red Button, 19.30 Thursday 24 October, looking ahead to what is set to be the most exciting Rugby League World Cup yet.  

The BBC Sport website will live stream all matches shown on television and audio commentary of those live on radio, with live text commentary available for all home nations matches. The website will also feature detailed reports on every fixture plus the latest news and analysis from the BBC’s expert team throughout the tournament.

BBC Sport has committed to broadcasting live International rugby league for the next four years, including the Four Nations in 2014 and 2016 and the next World Cup in 2017.
