The Papua New Guinea Rugby League have been given a reality check as the Australian PMXIII side racked up 50 points on Sunday in Kokopo.
While the Australian’s ran riot on the field the crowd were well behaved.
Australia went into half time with a 30 – 4 lead over PNG. The second half continued along the same lines with the final score of 50 – 10 really showing Australia’s dominance in the match.
The PNG Rugby League team will now need to regroup as the look to head over to the United Kingdom to compete in this year’s Rugby League World Cup.
Papua New Guinea are grouped with Samoa, France and New Zealand and based on that performance will have a hard time booking a place in the quarter finals.
