The PNGRFL has announced today and welcomed on board Trophy Haus Limited and NWTL Group of Companies as official and exclusive retailer of Team Kumul merchandise leading into the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
The deal will see the group become sponsors of the PNGRFL and official & exclusive retailers of Team Kumul and PNGRFL merchandise in Port Moresby and Lae.
Team Kumul merchandise will be available shortly through Trophy Haus outlets at Boroko, Vision City, Water Front Place and ANZ Building Lae.
PNGRFL Interim CEO Brad Tassel said to have a reputable company such as the NWTL Group on board was indicative of the belief in Team Kumul and the professional approach taken by the PNGRFL towards the international program;
“As far as I know there has never been a national Merchandise program in PNG for fans to purchase Kumuls and PNGRFL gear. The new Board of the PNGRFL wanted to rectify this and have taken steps to ensure that fans across the nation have access to purchase official replica team wear and support the Kumuls leading into the World Cup. PNG was the second highest seller of any nation at the last World Cup, yet Kumul gear in PNG was extremely difficult to get. Obviously we want to expand this to internet sales etc. in future but for now with NWTL coming on board fans in Port Moresby and Lae can now purchase their gear. In NGI Agmark are also about to release sales of Team Kumul gear leading into the PM13 match and we are now looking for a partner in the Highlands region to also do the same. Our official merchandise supplier Fi-Ââ€ta is already fielding calls from retailers in Australia and has had several big orders placed by retailers in the UK, particularly Hull where Team Kumul will be based for the World Cup. This is a start of what we believe will develop into not only a National but international merchandise program.â€
NWTL Group Managing Direct Mr. Allan Gui said they were proud to be given the exclusive rights to retail Team Kumul merchandise in Port Moresby and Lae;

An official launch of Team Kumul Merchandise will be held in the coming weeks where fans can secure their gear and meet some of the Team Kumul players.
