Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League has renewed their contract with Fi-Ta Performance Sportswear for another two years.

As Team Kumul head into their fifth Rugby League World Cup appearance, the deal with Fi‐Ta has been extended to take the partnership to five years.

With their 2013 Rugby League World Cup kit landing in retail stores soon, the rugby league mad country is likely to get into the spirit and don the colours as October draws closer, proving a good seller for Fi‐Ta.

“The Kumuls are a great team to work with, with a deep seeded love of rugby league,” said Dease Henwood, Fi‐Ta General Manager.

“We are delighted to extend our partnership with the PNGRFL and work closely with the organisation as they continue to grow the brand and the code not only in Papua New Guinea, but across the other Rugby League playing countries.”

PNGRFL Interim CEO Brad Tassell was also delighted with the contract extension.

“We have had a great working partnership with Fi‐Ta for five years and the playing and training gear that they produce for us has been second to none,” said Tassell.

“To be competitive in the current rugby league market we need to make sure we are being supplied with some of the best high performance sportswear and Fi‐Ta provide us with this gear every time. Also included in the sponsorship is gear for our National junior and senior Championships, which ensures we are looking after our players at the grassroots level in PNG. A preliminary World Cup merchandise order will arrive in the next couple of weeks and I am sure fans will snap up the product quickly.”

Team Kumul will begin their 2013 Rugby League World Cup campaign against France on Sunday, 27 October, while also playing New Zealand and Samoa in the pool stages. Their best performance was in 2000 when they made the Quarter Finals.
