Toa Samoa coach Steve Price has finalised his team for Saturday night’s Pacific Test against Mate Ma’a Tonga at Centrebet Stadium, Penrith.
With the likes of Roy Asotasi, Jeff Lima, Junior Sa’u and Eddy Pettybourne electing to represent Samoa, Price is pleased with his line-up for this weekend’s match.
“Finalising my squad for this weekend’s Test was a lot more difficult than it was two years ago, which is testament to the growth of the game in the Pacific,†Price said on Wednesday morning.
“The talent pool we have available now as well as the quality players that have chosen to represent Samoa is increasing each year. To be able to assemble this team in the lead up to the World Cup is fantastic for the game.
“I am really looking forward to preparing our boys as professionally as I can to give them the best opportunity to represent the game, their families and their people.â€
North Queeensland Cowboys’ Alex Elisala joined the team on Tuesday. David Fa’alogo, who has also elected to represent Samoa recently, and Pita Godinet are unavailable for Sunday’s test.
