The Kiwis mission against Australia has just been made harder with Sonny Bill Williams being ruled out of selection due to a knee injury. With Williams ruled out of the team the Kiwis will now be without their two biggest stars, with Benji Marshall ruled out due to a toe injury last week.
Kiwis high performance team manager Tony Kemp has resigned from his position which has left Kiwis assistant coach Tony Iro to take over as high performance team manager at the last minute.
Kiwis Coach Stephen Kearney was looking for some stability but Simon Mannering pulled out just before kick-off due to injury. Keiran Foran has now been named as captain of team.
Australia at this stage will be going into the test match with a full strength squad pending any injuries or suspensions from the weekend games. Cameron Smith will once again captain the Kangaroos with Tim Sheens continuing as Coach.
Tohu Harris has been brought into the Kiwi squad on standby for Jeremy Smith, Who might miss out if his appeal against suspension is unsuccessful.
Both teams have made their way to Canberra to prepare for the match.
The game itself will see Canberra host a Australia v New Zealand test match for the first time. The match will take place on Friday (19th April) with kick-off set for 8pm AEST. The telecast with the game preview will be live on Channel 9 from 7.30pm.
After last minute negotiations Sky New Zealand will now provide TV coverage of the Anzac Test on Friday night for New Zealand viewers.
