England Rugby League have bolted out of the barrier early by naming 30 man elite train on squad for their planned internationals for 2013 including the World Cup.
The first big test for England will be on the 14th on June when they take on the Exiles in the only International Origin match for 2013 at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington, England.
England will then play a warm up match against France later in the year before their opening World Cup match against the Australian Kangaroos on the 26th of October at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales.
It’s expected that England players like Sam Burgess and Gareth Widdop currently playing down under in the National Rugby League (NRL) will join the England squad after their NRL club commitments are over at the end of the NRL season.
England have a big year ahead as they try to win the Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) for the first time since 1972. In 1972 they played as Great Britain and were awarded the World Cup based on table standings after drawing with Australia 10 all in the 1972 World Cup final.
