Rugby League Development Fund

By Richard Cowley, Date: 25/2/13

The Rugby League Development Fund enters it’s third year of supporting emerging rugby league nations. 2013 is shaping up to be the toughest year yet for the RLDF members who will have to decide which nation to support in 2013.

Nation submissions will kick off from next month with the voting starting on the 15th of June. Voting will close on the 30th of June and the 2013 RFDF winner will be announced.

Rugby League development has hit full throttle around the planet and shows no sign of slowing down in 2013. With the World Cup set to showcase rugby league later this year it’s the potential of nations playing rugby league outside of the world cup that has got the RLDF members attention.

2011 RLDF winners the Jamaican Rugby League Association have gone from strength to strength with rugby league now being played in Jamaican High Schools.

2012 RLDF winners Canada Rugby League which seeds took place in the Rugby League Planet Forum are now a fully commercialised rugby league machine overseeing the games development and expansion across Canada.

2013 RLDF winners will be in the hands of the RLDF members. If you are passionate about international rugby league and want to be apart of the next big international success story join the RLDF.  For as little as $10 AUS a month why wouldn’t you want to assist?
