Overview: Italy who are competing in the rugby league world cup for the first time will look to spoil the party for Scotland. Rugby league has been growing in Italy over the last few years and their exposure in this world cup will assist with promoting rugby league back in their homeland. Italy will be able to call on eligible players from the NRL and will be very competitive against Scotland.

Italy got their world cup campaign off to a flying start defeating Wales at Cardiff. Italy will fancy their chances against the Bravehearts.

Scotland will be expected to win this match against Italy. Scotland pulled off a massive upset by getting over Tonga 26 - 24 in their opening match of the World Cup. Who ever wins this match will book their place in the quarter finals.
