Overview: This will be the last Group match of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup and both teams have everything to play for.

France will be looking to put on a solid performance in front of French fans when they meet Samoa at Gilbert Brutus Stadium, Perpignan on Monday night. The French just got over PNG in their first match and put in a good first half against New Zealand. This could end up being a entertaining game with both teams known to throw the ball around.

The Samoans will be out to cause an upset in front of French fans. Samoa have sent some players home already due to injury and could be running on empty when they meet France. People back home in Samoa will be hoping their team have something left in the tank.

The winner of this match will secure 2nd place on the ladder and will earn an easier quarter final opponent in Fiji. The loser will secure third place and line up against the might of England in the quarter finals.
