France put on a brave display but England are still light years ahead and showed they are preparing nicely for 2013 World Cup with a 44 – 6 victory in Game 3 of the Autumn International Series in front of 8,963 fans.

Sam Tomkins crossed twice in the first half to add to his try tally as an international.  In doing so he broke the record for the most tries scored by an English International player with 14 in total.

France were dealt a blow early in the game when they lost fullback Cyril Stacul which caused a reshuffle of the team which saw Bosc move to fullback. It went down hill from their for France with England going into half time with a comfortable lead of 20 – 0.

The 2nd half was more of the same with France losing more players to injury but in the end England racked up another 24 points with France scoring late in the game to put some points on the board.

France will now look to next weeks final and will need to come up with something special to avoid a repeat the 44 – 6 scoreline
