In what is a big win for rugby league in Russia, JM Sports in association with International Sports Funding have formed a partnership with the Russian Rugby League Federation.
Victor Sapozhnikov explains “The partnership will see the Russian national side wearing JM Sports branded Kit and Leisurewear. The national competition has also been renamed to recognise JM Sports support.” ‘JMSports National League of Russia’
International Sports Funding will be assisting the RRLA with running Junior Rugby League Development programmes throughout Russia. The RRLA are now keen to hear from any qualified coaches who would be keen to apply for a role within the development programme.
The much needed support will see more juniors get involved in rugby league via the rugby league development programmes. The flow on effect might just be what’s required for the Russian Ministry of Sport to take notice and re-instate rugby league on the national sports register.
