The second game of the Dove Men+Care International Series took place at Copenhagen’s Gentofte Stadium in front of Danish locals with some witnessing their first ever game of rugby league.
As expected a Maltese squad loaded with players like Jarrod Sammut were way to strong for Danes, a team mainly made up of locally based players.
In the first half Denmark only managed to cross the line once. The score at half time was 6 – 26 in favour of the Maltese.
It was deja view in the second half with the Lions only managing to cross the Knights line once again. The Malta Knights stepped it up a gear notching up 48 points in the second half.
The full time score telling the story of the Knights dominance, Denmark 12 – Malta 74.
Malta will now be looking to build towards the 2017 Rugby League World Cup Qualifiers knowing they have a team that could make it through the qualifying process if given the chance.
