The United States have continued their domination of the Colonial Cup competition defeating Canada 36 – 14 at at Staples High School Football Stadium in Westport, Connecticut.
Canada hit the lead early on via a penalty goal to lead 0 – 2. The United States hit back with a 2 tries to go into half time with a 10 point lead (2 -12)
The Canadian’s came out firing early in the 2nd half with some quick try’s to lead 14 – 12. But from then onwards it was all one way traffic as the United States put on 4 tries to seal the match 36 – 14
The United States have retained the 2012 Colonial Cup with a 2 – 0 series win.
This ends the representitive season for both teams. The United States will now look towards 2013 and making history by playing in their first ever Rugby League World Cup. Many will be hoping that the AMNRL and the USARL can come together beforehand so they can field the best possible team come World Cup time.
