South Wales Scorpions are organising a fantastic family fun day for their last home game of the season against Gateshead Thunder at The Gnoll in Neath on Sunday 19th August (kick-off 3pm).
All children under 16 can come in free of charge and there will be exciting competitions with prizes to be won.
There will be an under 16 goal-kicking event at half-time with a signed ball to be won plus we are hoping for an extra special competition with details to be announced when confirmed.
The whole Scorpions squad will be staying at the club for three hours after the final hooter and will be meeting the fans at a big end of season event in the clubhouse.
Irish Celtic folk band “Rattled” who were so popular following the Welsh derby match against North Wales Crusaders, have been invited back to entertain everyone, while the players will be available to sign your programmes and posters. There will be a special pull-out centre spread in the programme where you can obtain your autographs.
Plus of course the highlight of the day is South Wales Scorpions v Gateshead Thunder which is set to be an enthralling encounter.
“We are very much looking forward to Family Fun Day at The Gnoll,†said Scorpions’ coach Dave Clark. “It’s been a tough season for us but we’ve made a lot of progress in developing our youngsters and we are now very much looking forward to 2013.
“We are letting all children in for free this Sunday as a thank you to all families for their support in 2012. We pride ourselves on having a tremendous family atmosphere at The Gnoll and I know that everyone will enjoy themselves watching the Gateshead clash – it looks like it will be an exciting and competitive game.â€
Tickets in advance cost £10 for adults and £5 concessions, going up by £2 each on the day, but all children under 16 go in completely free.
