The second round of the North-Eastern Derby, as played by the clubs in the North- Gauteng Province (previous Northern Bulls & Eastern Eagles SARL) was held at Barnard Stadium, Kempton Park.
Game 1:
In the first game TuksRL-Reds won against the Elsburg Fish Eagles 74 - 1 with the score at half-time- 40-1.
X2 Tries: Hein Pretorius, Andre Loader, Shaun Bouwer & Hans du Plessis.
X1 Tries: Allen Kasselman, Coenraad Bekker, Jean Coetzer, Wynand Bezuidenhout & Jonathan Soares.
Riaan Engelbrecht concluded with 10 conversions on the day.
For Kempton Wolves only a drop goal was added to the score board.
Player-of-the-day:
TuksRL-Reds: Jean Coetzer
Elsburg Fish Eagles: Andre Nagel
Game 2:
Bears forfeit the game and were penalized for not fielding a full team.
Kunkwini Scorpions therefore gained a full score of 36-0 and bonus points.
Game 3:
In the last game TuksRL-Blues won against the host, Kempton Wolves 40 - 24 with the score at half-time- 26-4.
X2 Tries: Thomas Markram.
X1 Tries: Anrich du Plessis, Llewellyn Lottering, Riaan Laidlaw, David Watson & Herman Dannhauser.
Piet (Chuck) concluded with 1 try & 4 conversions on the day.
For Kempton Wolves 5 tries with 2 conversions were scored.
