    History - Niue have been playing rugby league since 1992. In that same year they played in the Pacific Cup against other pacific nations.

     

    In 2004 Niue played in the Pacific Rim Competition. Niue lost all their Pool games and did not progress to the finals.

     

    In 2007 Niue took part in the South Pacific Games. For the first time the South Pacific Games had a Rugby League 9's tournament involving 6 nations . Niue lost to Tokelau 10 - 16 in the play-off for 5th spot.
