The top 25 players from all 16 NRL teams were present to sign autographs and have photo's taken with fans. This was the first time in 100 years that all NRL players were at the same location at the same time. The day was a huge success with over 15000 fans turning out.

Their was a constant flow of people visiting the Marquee and getting up close and personal with one of the most prized trophies in international rugby league.

Inside the stadium coaching clinics were in full drive with 1000's of kids taking part. On the big screens of Telstra/ANZ stadium a 100 years of rugby league flashed by with the World Cup featuring. Rugby League World Cup advertising was also in full swing with infomation periodically appearing on the big screen. By all acounts the 2008 Rugby League World Cup publicity machine had kicked off. The "Heroes Here08" advertising campaign will continue throughout the year.
